Manus has released version 2.0 of its AI agent platform, enabling users to edit videos, host multiplayer games, and remotely control agents via their smartphones. The update introduces Manus Studio, which includes dedicated Video Editor and Game Dev environments, alongside a new app called Cue that assigns each agent a unique email address, wallet, and computer. Performance improvements in the Cascade agent configuration resulted in a 32 percent reduction in costs and a 23.2 percent decrease in token usage compared to the previous system. Users can now trigger automations based on specific events such as incoming emails or Slack messages. The company's corporate landscape has shifted significantly, as Meta was forced to unwind its acquisition after Beijing blocked the deal, leading Tencent to negotiate for a major stake. Meanwhile, Meta is focusing on its own competing agent, Muse, which also provides cloud computing resources to users. Manus 2.0 is currently available, while the Cue application is accessible through free early access with an invite code.
