Mecka Raises $60M in Series B Funding to Build Data and Deployment Infrastructure for Robots
aiinsider ·
Mecka has secured $60 million in Series B funding led by Sequoia Capital to expand its infrastructure for robotics data and deployment. The company focuses on bridging the gap between standard AI training data and the complex physical information robots require, such as motion tracking and 3D reconstruction. Mecka achieves this by recording human demonstrations using proprietary multi-sensor hardware and converting that data into usable training signals. New investors in the round include Nvidia, Microsoft’s M12 fund, Qualcomm Ventures, and Samsung, alongside notable individual backers like Tony Xu and Frank Slootman. Financially, Mecka reported surpassing $100 million in run-rate revenue in June 2026 and projects reaching $300 million by the end of the year. Beyond data collection, the firm acts as a robotics integrator, providing hardware, post-training services, and ongoing operational support for commercial clients. The company collaborates with major research institutions on studies like EgoVerse to improve human-to-robot transfer capabilities. This capital will be used to manufacture more capture hardware, expand research efforts, and increase the scale of robot deployments.
