Melius Secures $25M From CRV and General Catalyst to Build AI Agents for Ad Creative
aiinsider ·
Melius, a New York-based AI platform specializing in ad campaign generation, has secured $25 million in total funding. This capital includes a $20 million Series A round led by CRV and a $5 million seed round from General Catalyst. The startup achieved over $1 million in annualized revenue just two months after emerging from stealth mode in July. Founded by former Ramp engineers Joowon Kim, Young Kim, and Arnav Ramu, the company pivoted from performance marketing to creating direct creative assets using plain language inputs. Melius positions its technology as an 'agents lab' that transforms user ideas into content automatically. The company faces competition from well-funded rivals such as Higgsfield, Krea, and Flora AI. Despite this competitive landscape, founder Joowon Kim remains confident, citing a large market size and strong customer demand as indicators of success.
