Meta brings Pocket, an app that lets you vibe-code and share games, to US users
techcrunch ·
Meta is rolling out its experimental vibe-coding gaming app Pocket to all US users after a quiet test in Brazil. The app lets people generate small, interactive games using AI prompts, which are published to a scrollable feed. These games, called 'gizmos,' respond to touch and phone tilt, play sound effects, and can include song clips, photos from the camera roll, or camera access. Users can share games on their profile, and others can save, remix, or repost them. Pocket builds on Meta's acqui-hire of the Gizmo team and follows other AI creation tools like Vibes. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg credits AI-enabled development for making it easier to ship new apps, citing efforts like Instants, Forum, and Seller. With Pocket's launch, Meta is shutting down the original Gizmo app.
