At Meta Connect 2026, Meta unveiled significant updates to its Muse AI agent, including the ability to conduct real-time video chats with customizable avatars and access dedicated email addresses. The agent has also gained the capability to control Mac applications, expanding its utility across different platforms. Looking ahead, Muse is scheduled to operate on Meta's smart glasses within the coming months, where it will convert conversations into actionable tasks such as scheduling meetings or updating shopping lists. During the event, Mark Zuckerberg introduced the Muse Charm, a Tamagotchi-inspired device featuring a 2-inch display and 5G connectivity, which is expected to ship by December. CTO Andrew Bosworth described this device as an exploratory project rather than the central focus of Meta's hardware strategy. Additionally, Meta announced new Ray-Ban Meta Audio Glasses that remove the camera feature and start at 349 euros, alongside third-generation models starting at 449 euros. A pair of VR glasses priced at $1,299 is slated for release in spring 2027, while privacy enhancements like 'Private Processing' are planned but lack a specific timeline.
