Meta is expanding its AI agent Muse to small businesses
techcrunch ·
Meta has announced the expansion of its AI agent, Muse, to support small businesses by integrating it with popular software tools such as Shopify, Slack, and Dropbox. This strategic move aims to help business owners manage operations, marketing, and sales more efficiently by providing context-aware assistance rather than functioning as a standalone chatbot. The agent connects with Meta’s own platforms, including Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages, while also supporting third-party services like QuickBooks and Zoom. Meta offers Muse for Small Business for free with usage limits, allowing companies to upgrade to paid subscription plans for higher capacity. This launch follows the introduction of the Meta Enterprise Platform, an initiative designed to bring AI offerings to corporate customers and drive return on investment. To lead this new enterprise push, Meta hired Chirantan Desai, the CEO of MongoDB. The rollout leverages the recent success of Muse, which recently topped app charts in the U.S. and Canada ahead of competitors.
