Meta Plans Up to $95B Stock Offering to Fund AI Buildout
aiinsider ·
Meta is preparing to raise up to $95 billion in equity financing to support its massive expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company has secured interest from major technology firms Nvidia, AMD, and Broadcom, which may purchase a combined $5 billion of the initial stock offering. This capital will help fund expected capital expenditures ranging from $135 billion to $145 billion for 2026. The financing strategy includes approximately $35 billion in concurrent public offerings and a planned $60 billion at-the-market program involving new Class C shares. Meta aims to nearly double its total infrastructure capacity this year by building four AI superclusters, each with over one gigawatt of power. While the company generated $97 billion in operating cash flow during the first three quarters, it relies on a mix of debt, partnerships, and equity to meet its goals. The at-the-market program could begin as early as the first quarter of 2027, though specific terms remain undetermined.
