Meta’s Muse AI Agent Tops 3.4M Downloads as Meta Opens Early Access to New Features
aiinsider ·
Meta’s personal AI agent, Muse, has surpassed 3.4 million downloads since its launch on September 8, with varying estimates from market intelligence firms like Sensor Tower and Apptopia reaching up to 4.3 million. The app experienced rapid initial growth, averaging 55% day-over-day download increases in its first ten days, outpacing competitors like ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok. This surge was bolstered by Meta’s aggressive cross-platform promotion strategy, which included targeted house ads and placements on social media platforms such as Reddit and TikTok. Following the Connect developer conference, Meta opened an early access program for upcoming features, inviting users to request additions via prompts on X. New capabilities announced include video chat with digital avatars, expanded shopping partnerships, computer use on Mac, dedicated email integration, and support for Meta’s AI glasses. Currently, Muse is available only in the United States and Canada, where it holds the top positions on both the App Store and Google Play. While advertising contributed to its visibility, data suggests that a significant portion of its user base growth remains organic rather than ad-driven.
