Meta’s Muse launches on iPad just a month after its mobile debut

Meta has officially launched its AI assistant, Muse, on the iPad, marking a rapid expansion just one month after its initial debut on mobile devices. This swift rollout highlights Meta's serious commitment to artificial intelligence, especially considering that Instagram took fifteen years to achieve similar platform integration. Since its September launch, Muse has accumulated over 6.6 million installs across iOS and Android platforms. The application allows users to connect various accounts to manage emails, meetings, and bills while automating tasks such as booking reservations and ordering groceries. To support these functions, Meta has introduced new 'connectors' for productivity tools like Asana, Canva, and Zoom, alongside retail partners including Best Buy and Walmart. However, the technology faces challenges as some websites mistakenly block AI agents by identifying them as bots. In response, Meta is collaborating with industry partners to develop an open standard that helps businesses distinguish legitimate personal AI agents from malicious bots.
