Meta's new frontier model Muse Wonder Full breaks into the AI top tier
decoder ·
Meta has released two new frontier AI models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, which significantly close the gap with leading competitors in the artificial intelligence market. These models achieve top-tier rankings on benchmarks such as the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v4.3, with Muse Wonder Full scoring 56 points and Muse Wonder scoring 52. The most substantial improvements are observed in agentic coding and autonomous problem-solving capabilities, including a major jump in performance on Terminal-Bench 4.0. Meta highlights new features like Active Memory and Active Focus to support its vision of personal AI agents that can handle complex, multi-step tasks. However, factual knowledge remains a weakness, with both models lagging behind rivals like Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra on omniscience tests. Despite lower scores in general knowledge, the models demonstrate reduced hallucination rates compared to their predecessors. This enhanced performance comes at a higher cost, with API prices nearly tripling for the new variants. Meta trained these models at its in-house Prometheus data center, aiming to recover from previous struggles with its open Llama series.
