Milan Cybersecurity Startup Bynario Secures €2.1M After AI Uncovers Apple Vulnerabilities

Milan-based cybersecurity startup Bynario has closed a €2.1 million pre-seed funding round. The round was led by 360 Capital Partners, with PranaVentures participating. Bynario will use the funding to develop its AI-powered platform for identifying, validating, prioritizing, and remediating software vulnerabilities and to expand its engineering team. The announcement follows research reported by the Financial Times in August, in which Bynario's team used frontier AI models to find serious vulnerabilities in Apple's macOS Screen Sharing technology, which Apple later fixed. CEO Alfredo Pesoli said AI is lowering the cost of vulnerability research for attackers, making defenders' task more urgent. COO Giancarlo Russo said the company seeks to connect advanced security research with practical, scalable solutions. According to 360 Capital partner Cesare Maifredi, the firm was attracted to Bynario's use of autonomous AI systems across vulnerability discovery, validation, prioritization, and remediation. The investment comes amid a significant share of enterprise security incidents tied to software vulnerabilities and a cybersecurity skills shortage that makes it harder for organizations to handle growing AI-accelerated findings.
