Neura Acquires Adlatus Robotics to Expand its Physical AI to Professional Cleaning
aiinsider ·
Neura Robotics has acquired Adlatus Robotics, a German maker of autonomous cleaning robots, for an undisclosed sum, taking full ownership of the Ulm-based company. Adlatus has hundreds of cleaning and sweeping robots deployed in industrial, logistics, healthcare, and commercial environments, along with its own navigation software and operational data. The two companies had previously worked together under a strategic partnership since September 2025. Neura plans to add sensors and AI capabilities to Adlatus robots and gradually connect them to Neuraverse, its open physical AI platform intended to link robots from multiple manufacturers. CEO David Reger said cleaning is a massive global labor market and a prime example of what Physical AI can transform, with the goal of giving machines a new kind of intelligence. The acquisition follows Neura's recent purchase of Bosch Rexroth's Active Shuttle autonomous mobile robot business, reflecting its strategy to expand beyond material transport. Neura Mobile Robots managing director Andreas Lindemann added that autonomous cleaning is a logical next step and that the solutions will eventually be integrated into the company's Fleet Manager.
