Neura Robotics Expands Into Healthcare With Autonomous Hospital Transport Robot
aiinsider ·
Neura Robotics is launching a new healthcare division called Neura HealthTech to address staffing shortages in the medical sector. The company introduced an autonomous mobile robot designed to transport empty beds and sterile goods within hospital environments. This physical AI platform connects to Neuraverse, allowing it to perceive its surroundings and navigate tight corridors safely without carrying patients. Neura estimates that automating approximately twenty moves per day could save over 1,300 staff hours annually for direct patient care. The initiative aims to alleviate the burden on clinical workers amid projected European healthcare labor deficits by 2030. Future applications include Maira cognitive arms for logistics and Mipa service robots for medication support. Systems will be offered through partners via a Robotics-as-a-Service model with fixed monthly rates covering maintenance and updates.
