Neura Robotics, Seco Partner on Physical AI, Robot Compute and Industrial Automation
aiinsider ·
Germany's Neura Robotics and Italy's Seco have announced a strategic partnership focused on robot compute hardware, industrial data collection, and physical AI automation. Under the agreement, Seco will design, engineer, and manufacture Qualcomm Dragonwing-based compute modules for Neura's cognitive robots, including the 4NE1 humanoid, with production set to take place in Europe. These modules will support Neura's distributed 'Brain + Nervous System' architecture, which places processing near joints and sensors for real-time control. The collaboration also includes opening a Neura Gym in Italy, described as Neura's first training hub in Southern Europe, and jointly collecting production data from real-world industrial robot deployments. The companies intend to use that data to develop physical AI automation solutions for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing that can be scaled globally. Executives from both firms and Qualcomm framed the effort as helping build a broader European physical AI ecosystem and accelerating reliable, large-scale robot production.
