Neura Unveils 4NE1 Gen 4 Humanoid as €17M Munich RoboGym Opens
aiinsider ·
Neura Robotics has unveiled the 4NE1 Gen 4 humanoid, a new model designed for series production that is 20% lighter than its predecessor. This updated robot features upgraded hands, Smart Limbs for reflex-like control, and runs on Neura’s Neuron AI perception-language-action model. Simultaneously, Neura and the Technical University of Munich opened the €17 million TUM RoboGym near Munich Airport to develop physical AI skills. The 2,300-square-meter facility combines real-world robot data, human demonstrations, and simulation to train industrial robots. Companies from over ten industries, including automotive and logistics, are participating in training tasks such as handling boxes and filling bottles. Neura contributed approximately €11 million to the joint initiative, which aims to bridge generational manufacturing knowledge with modern AI capabilities. The Munich center serves as the first location in a broader international network of Neura Gyms. This launch highlights the growing integration of advanced robotics into practical industrial applications across Europe.
