British AI neocloud provider Nscale has secured $3.36 billion in convertible note financing ahead of its planned initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. The investment round is led by hedge fund Third Point, which provides $2.36 billion available immediately, while existing investor Nvidia contributes an additional $1 billion due in mid-November. These notes are structured to convert into equity once the IPO is completed. According to reports from the Financial Times and Bloomberg, Nscale filed its IPO paperwork last week and aims for a valuation of approximately $35 billion, seeking to raise around $3 billion through the public offering. Originally spun out of Australian cryptocurrency miner Arkon Energy two years ago, the company has accumulated over $103 billion in contracts as stated in its filing. To support these commitments, Nscale is currently developing large-scale data center campuses in locations such as Norway and West Virginia to handle growing AI workloads.
