NVIDIA and MediaTek announced an expanded partnership to develop AI computing platforms spanning cloud infrastructure, local AI computing, and automotive. As part of the collaboration, MediaTek will adopt NVIDIA's NVLink Fusion platform, offering customers a prevalidated path to create custom XPUs that integrate into NVIDIA NVLink-connected, rack-scale AI factories. NVIDIA has also invested $3.5 billion in convertible bonds issued by MediaTek. In AI infrastructure, MediaTek will help customers build custom AI systems that work with NVIDIA's rack-scale architecture and MGX platform. For local AI computing, the companies will continue work on NVIDIA RTX Spark and DGX Spark PC chips, combining NVIDIA GPUs with MediaTek SoCs. In automotive, they will develop platforms for AI-powered, software-defined vehicles. The companies' leaders emphasized that combining NVIDIA's accelerated computing with MediaTek's SoC design expertise will enable differentiated AI systems at scale.
