Nvidia Backs Indian AI Inference Startup Simplismart in $14M Series B
aiinsider ·
Nvidia has invested in Simplismart, a Bengaluru-based startup specializing in AI inference optimization, as part of a $14 million Series B funding round. The investment was led by Dallas Venture Capital and included participation from Accel, Shastra VC, Micromax, and Nvidia itself, valuing the four-year-old company at approximately $100 million. Simplismart’s software sits between AI models and computing infrastructure to automatically tune response speed, request capacity, and compute consumption for efficiency. Notable customers such as InVideo have reported significant reductions in GPU serving costs after adopting the platform. Co-founder and CEO Amritanshu Jain emphasized that the company focuses on balancing performance and cost rather than just maximizing speed or minimizing expense. The startup has seen its annualized revenue run rate grow fourteen-fold in six months, reaching eight figures with over half coming from the U.S. market. Founded in 2022 by Amritanshu Jain and Devansh Ghatak, Simplismart plans to use the new funds to expand its presence in the United States and further develop its software offerings.
