Nvidia Expands Automated Driving Partnerships With Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars
aiinsider ·
Nvidia is expanding its automated driving partnerships with both Mercedes-Benz and Volvo Cars to integrate its advanced computing and AI software platforms into their future vehicles. The collaboration utilizes Nvidia’s Hyperion compute architecture, Alpamayo driving software, and Halos safety technology across both automakers' next-generation systems. Mercedes-Benz plans to combine these technologies with its MB.OS platform to develop urban point-to-point assistance, automated parking, and eventual SAE Level 4 capabilities. Volvo intends to deploy the same core stack in upcoming models to support eyes-off and mind-off driving features on highways and in urban environments. These agreements deepen Nvidia's role in the development of software-defined vehicles capable of handling complex driving tasks. Both companies emphasized the synergy between their respective engineering strengths and Nvidia's world-class AI technology. While specific launch dates and vehicle models were not disclosed, the integration marks a significant step toward more autonomous mobility solutions.
