Nvidia partners with data center developer Cloverleaf
techcrunch ·
Nvidia announced a partnership with Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a company that prepares sites for data centers by providing power and other foundational infrastructure. Cloverleaf, founded in 2024, raised $300 million that year and acts as an intermediary between utilities and data centers. The companies did not disclose terms, but the Wall Street Journal reported Nvidia's investment could be several hundred million dollars, and Reuters said Nvidia now holds a minority stake. The deal is part of Nvidia's broader strategy to use its profits to support the AI data center buildout, since those centers buy Nvidia's systems. Earlier in the same week, Nvidia also said it would invest $1.5 billion in SB Energy, an OpenAI-linked data center project in Ohio. The article notes that TechCrunch contacted Nvidia for additional comment.
