OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 Astra to top-tier ChatGPT plans at half the rate of GPT-5.6 Sol

OpenAI has made GPT-6 Astra available to ChatGPT users on Pro, Enterprise, and Business Premium plans via ChatGPT Work and Codex, with access also through the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Bedrock. Plus and Business users are expected to receive access in the coming days. Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers also receive GPT-6 Astra Pro, a more capable version, with usage counting against existing subscription quotas. The $200 Pro plan includes 200 messages per week for GPT-6 Pro, while the $100 Pro plan and Business Premium each include 50 per week, and Business Standard is limited to 15 per month. The standard GPT-6 Astra provides roughly half as many messages per five-hour window as GPT-5.6 Sol across plans, with Plus users getting an estimated 5 to 45 local messages compared to 10 to 100 for Sol. Usage limits vary by plan and model, and OpenAI notes actual usage depends on model choice, context length, reasoning, tool use, and caching. Users on Free and Go tiers do not have access to frontier models GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-6 Astra.
