Plaud’s new earphones come with an eSIM-enabled case for talking to AI agents
techcrunch ·
Plaud is launching the Plaud One, a pair of AI-focused earphones that can record phone calls, while their case records in-person conversations and takes notes. The company says its AI can transcribe conversations and connect with services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack to draft follow-up emails or create documents and presentations. The case supports an eSIM, allowing users to instruct Plaud’s AI agents remotely without using a phone or computer. The earphones have 12mm drivers and active noise cancellation, while the case can capture voices from up to five meters away; battery life is rated at six hours for meetings, three hours for calls, and up to 25 hours with the case. Buyers receive 300 free transcription minutes per month, with paid plans starting at $8.33 monthly when billed annually. The limited-quantity launch is intended to test demand, and a future update will add agentic features supported by a credit system, with buyers receiving $200 in credits. The Plaud One is available for preorder at $249 and is expected to ship in the fourth quarter of 2026, amid competition from other note-taking hardware and conventional wireless earbuds paired with AI apps.
