QueryStory wants you to believe what AI is telling you
techcrunch ·
QueryStory, a startup founded by former Google engineer Shapor Naghibzadeh, has emerged from stealth with a goal of making AI data analysis more trustworthy for large enterprises. The company has raised $6 million in seed funding from Brightmind Ventures and New York Life Ventures, at a valuation of $60 million. Its platform is designed to bridge the "trust gap" in AI by providing answers grounded in data, with features like confidence indicators and automatic display of the SQL queries behind analyses. The product unites data analysis with human review, letting users flag insights for coworkers and recording those reviews in the platform. QueryStory is model-agnostic, though it currently uses frontier lab models, and is aimed at companies with large proprietary databases that lack data science teams. According to the article, a demo with a space activity database produced sophisticated dashboards and analyses in hours, compared to weeks for a similar project done by a developer. Investors say the platform addresses the brittleness of AI systems in business-critical applications and supports decision-makers seeking "ground truth."
