Rapta Raises $8M in Funding to Expand AI Quality Assurance for Defense Manufacturing

Rapta has raised $8 million to expand its AI-powered quality assurance and manufacturing intelligence platform for defense, aerospace, and other precision-manufacturing customers. Voyager Capital and Access Venture Partners co-led the round, which also included several existing investors and new participants. As part of the financing, Voyager Managing Director Diane Fraiman and Access Venture Partners Managing Director Kirk Holland joined Rapta’s board. The company plans to use the funding to expand deployments of its platform, which combines computer vision and production data in a traceable production record without requiring manufacturers to replace their existing infrastructure. The system tracks parts, production steps, tools, operators, and quality evidence while aiming to reduce manual documentation and errors. Rapta said its technology is used by five of the 10 largest U.S. defense contractors and is designed to connect inspection results with production information across manufacturing lines.
