Report: China’s Mech-Mind Robotics Set to Open Order Book for US$300M IPO
aiinsider ·
Chinese robotics firm Mech-Mind Robotics Technologies is reportedly preparing to open investor orders for a Hong Kong IPO that could raise around $300 million, with a targeted trading debut on September 1. The company plans to use the proceeds to develop advanced AI models, improve hardware, expand research infrastructure, and enter new applications. Backed by Meituan, Intel, and HSG, Mech-Mind completed pre-IPO financing in 2025 at a 6.3 billion yuan valuation and recently cleared its Hong Kong listing hearing. Founded in 2016 and based in Xiongan New Area, the firm makes industrial 3D cameras and AI software for robots, counting CATL, BYD, Midea, and Foxconn among its customers. It operates in nearly 50 countries, with overseas customers generating about half of last year's revenue and a 79% gross margin abroad versus 50% in China. The company remains unprofitable, though its adjusted net loss narrowed to 109 million yuan ($16 million) in 2025 from 214 million yuan in 2024, and it expects losses to persist this year due to research, development, and sales spending.
