Rime Launches Customizable Speech-to-Speech AI Model for Enterprise Voice Applications
aiinsider ·
Rime has launched Prism, a customizable speech-to-speech AI model designed for enterprise voice applications. The model allows companies to fine-tune systems and deploy them on-premises or in private clouds, ensuring greater control over customer data and latency. Unlike direct speech generation, Prism internally produces text before converting it to speech, enabling businesses to apply safety guardrails and maintain audit trails. Rime claims the model can recognize conversational signals such as frustration or hesitation to improve routing and responses. In a trial with Revmo, Prism achieved 100% accuracy in order confirmations compared to 68% for an unspecified OpenAI model. The company also reported that hallucinations decreased from 35% to 15%, and dead air periods dropped significantly. Backed by investors including Twilio Ventures and M13, Rime states its models currently handle over 100 million monthly interactions for clients like Mayo Clinic and Dialpad.
