aiinsider ·
Scimplify, a Bengaluru-based startup specializing in AI-driven specialty chemicals production, has secured $25 million in a strategic funding round led by Hitachi Ventures. New investors Henkel and Teknor Apex joined existing backers such as Accel India and Omnivore, bringing the company's total equity funding to $80 million. Founded in 2023, Scimplify utilizes its proprietary platform, Scinode, to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce delivery times significantly compared to industry standards. The company’s annualized revenue run rate has tripled to approximately $200 million, with U.S. operations contributing roughly $60 million. Energy, electronics, and defense sectors now account for nearly half of its revenue, driven by demand for materials that reduce reliance on Chinese suppliers. Scimplify plans to allocate $7.5 million toward expanding its presence in the United States and $2 million for further development of its Scinode platform. Additionally, the startup intends to extend its network of over 500 partner factories into the U.S. and Japan markets.
