Spott Announces $21M Series A to Bring Agentic AI to Recruitment Agencies
aiinsider ·
Spott, an AI-native applicant tracking system based in Leuven, Belgium, has secured $21 million in Series A funding. The investment round was led by Balderton Capital, with participation from Base10 Partners, Y Combinator, and Fortino. Founded in 2024 by Lander Degrève, Manu Vanderveeren, and Samuel Smeys, the company aims to automate administrative tasks for recruitment agencies. Their platform unifies candidate management and outreach, converting large volumes of data into searchable intelligence while keeping recruiters in control. Spott estimates that human judgment accounts for only 20% of a recruiter's workload, allowing their AI to handle the remaining administrative duties. Customer data indicates the tool can increase agency revenue and placements by up to 30%. The newly raised capital will support expansion into Sydney and New York, as well as hiring additional staff. Revenue has grown more than tenfold since early 2026, reflecting rapid customer adoption.
