Sweep thousands of leases for compliance using Amazon Quick and the Adjudicated Query pattern
aws ·
This article introduces the Adjudicated Query pattern, a design for using Amazon Quick to perform high-stakes compliance checks on large datasets like apartment leases. The approach addresses the limitations of standard RAG and text-to-SQL by ensuring provable completeness and defensibility in regulatory audits. It pairs a natural-language chat interface with a deterministic rules engine that handles all pass/fail decisions without AI involvement. Business users can ask questions via Amazon Quick, which translates them into specific tool calls on a bounded Model Context Protocol (MCP) surface. Every compliance sweep generates a completeness receipt that accounts for every record, preventing silent omissions or hallucinations. The architecture uses Amazon Aurora Serverless v2 as a single source of truth, shared between the chat agent and an Amazon Quick Sight dashboard for detailed inspection. This separation ensures that while the model narrates results, it never influences the underlying data determinations. The post provides a reference architecture and deployment steps for implementing this secure, auditable system.
