TacnIQ.ai Secures $1.5M Toward $3M Pre-Seed Round for Tactile AI
aiinsider ·
TacnIQ.ai has secured $1.5 million from In Group Holdings as part of a $3 million pre-seed funding round aimed at developing tactile AI models. These models enable robots and machines to interpret touch signals in real-time, allowing them to understand their physical interactions with objects and surroundings. The U.S.- and Singapore-based company reports that its technology is already utilized by paying customers across logistics, construction, e-commerce, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. To support model training, TacnIQ.ai has collected over 5,000 hours of tactile interaction data through controlled experiments and commercial deployments. Co-founder and CEO Aashish Mehta stated that the investment will facilitate the expansion of the engineering team and accelerate the move toward broader commercial applications. Additionally, the company is collaborating with Synaptics to integrate tactile AI into commercial hardware and is developing new sensor nodes to capture a wider range of physical signals. This strategic partnership aims to reduce the need for application-specific training when deploying tactile AI across diverse tasks.
