TechCrunch Disrupt 2026: Aaron Edsinger brings Hello Robot’s Stretch 4 to life onstage
techcrunch ·
At TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, Hello Robot CEO Aaron Edsinger will demonstrate the Stretch 4 robot on the Real World AI Stage. Unlike humanoids focused on flashy demos, this wheeled robot is designed for practical utility in shared human spaces. It features a telescoping arm capable of performing daily tasks such as closing blinds, feeding users, and scratching itches. The device aims to provide greater independence for individuals with severe mobility impairments. Stretch 4 launched in May and its initial production run sold out quickly due to high demand. Edsinger brings extensive experience from previous roles at Meka Robotics, Redwood Robotics, and Google. The live session highlights how physical AI can be engineered for safety, accessibility, and real-world usefulness. The event takes place October 13–15 in San Francisco, featuring over 200 sessions and thousands of attendees.
