Threads’ new features let podcasters promote shows and reach listeners
techcrunch ·
Meta has announced new tools for Threads designed to help podcast creators promote their shows and engage directly with listeners on the platform. While Threads does not currently host audio files, it aims to become a central hub for discussion by displaying podcast profile cards and banners on creator profiles. When users share episode links, they appear as tappable cards that allow for easy listening, while hosts can also post transcripts and tag featured guests. The platform will send reminders to creators when new episodes drop and provide detailed engagement metrics to help them understand their audience reach. These updates follow similar efforts by rival X to encourage direct video and podcast posting for revenue generation. With over 500 million active users, Threads is positioning itself as a key destination for podcast-related conversation and community building.
