aiinsider ·
Tractian has successfully closed a $130 million Series D funding round, achieving a corporate valuation of $1.4 billion. The investment was led by Sapphire Ventures and co-led by M&G’s Catalyst, with additional participation from General Catalyst, Bosch Ventures, and Y Combinator. Based in Atlanta, the company utilizes Physical AI to monitor critical industrial machinery through vibration and ultrasound sensors. Its agentic platform analyzes data against one of the largest industrial failure datasets to diagnose root causes and recommend preventive actions. More than 2,000 facilities, including those operated by Eli Lilly, Whirlpool, and Coca-Cola, currently rely on Tractian’s technology. CEO Igor Marinelli stated that the new capital will help expand the platform for manufacturers, data centers, and utilities to eliminate unplanned downtime. This move addresses the growing risk of equipment failures as the AI boom drives massive physical infrastructure build-outs.
