Ubitium Raises $14M in New Funding to Build Universal Processor for Physical AI
aiinsider ·
Ubitium has secured $14 million in new seed funding led by Ibex Investors to develop a universal processor for physical AI applications. This investment brings the Düsseldorf-based startup's total seed capital to $18 million since its founding in 2024. The company aims to create a single reconfigurable chip that integrates sensing, AI inference, and real-time control, eliminating the need for separate specialized processors. Their UB108 prototype, manufactured on Samsung’s 8-nanometer process, has already demonstrated these combined capabilities in silicon. Ubitium plans to launch its commercial UB410 chip with 4,096 processing elements to evaluation customers in 2027. Initial target markets include high-resolution radar and audio systems, with autonomous drones as a longer-term goal. The startup holds 17 granted patents and features a team with experience at major tech firms like Intel and Nvidia.
