Ultra Raises $62M in Funding to Expand Deployment of its AI-Powered Warehouse Robots
aiinsider ·
Ultra has secured $62 million in funding, including a $50 million Series A round led by Framework with participation from Y Combinator. This capital will be used to expand the deployment of its OP1 packing and fulfillment robot across U.S. warehouses. The company currently operates on a robot-as-a-service model, charging customers an installation fee plus a recurring subscription for hardware, software, and support. To date, Ultra's robots have successfully packed more than 500,000 orders. Co-founder and CEO Jon Miller Schwartz emphasizes that the company prioritizes real-world utility and reliable daily operation over controlled demonstrations. Ultra is collaborating with Physical Intelligence, which provides AI models to help the robots learn and adapt from experience while Ultra handles physical development. The new funding aims to build out the necessary operational infrastructure for installing, running, and servicing these robots at scale.
