Valon Raises $150M Series D at a $2.3B Valuation to Deploy ValonOS and AI Agents into Mortgage

Valon Technologies has secured $150 million in Series D funding at a $2.3 billion valuation, doubling its previous worth with participation from new investor Ribbit Capital and existing backers like Andreessen Horowitz. The company plans to use this capital to accelerate the development of ValonOS, an AI-native operating system designed for regulated finance, specifically targeting the mortgage servicing industry. Currently, one in six outstanding U.S. mortgages is contracted to run on ValonOS, with major servicers such as ServiceMac, Carrington Mortgage Services, and Newrez already adopting the platform. Co-founder Linda Du emphasizes that the primary barrier to deploying AI agents in regulated sectors is context rather than intelligence, necessitating structured data and deterministic actions. By replacing fragmented legacy mainframe systems with a unified OS, Valon aims to improve accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency for homeowners and lenders alike. Founded in 2019, Valon initially built and operated its own servicing business to prove the system's viability before offering it to the broader market. Looking ahead, the company intends to expand its architecture into adjacent regulated lending sectors, including commercial, personal, auto, and student loans.
