Veir Raises $110M in Series C Funding to Scale Superconducting Power Systems for AI Data Centers

Veir has secured $110 million in Series C funding to advance its superconducting power-delivery technology for AI data centers. This investment brings the company's total capital raised to $225 million as it transitions from testing to commercial deployment. The oversubscribed round was co-led by Matter Venture Partners and Tyche Partners, with participation from investors such as LG Technology Ventures and Gates Frontier. Veir aims to use these funds to expand manufacturing capabilities and support initial commercial projects within large data-center campuses. The company’s technology utilizes superconducting cables cooled to low temperatures to deliver high-power electricity through a smaller footprint than conventional copper systems. Founded in 2019, Veir has already demonstrated a 3-megawatt system and is now working on reference designs for AI facilities. CEO Tim Heidel emphasized that this financing allows the company to scale production rather than merely optimizing existing infrastructure.
