Helsinki-based Verda has successfully closed an $189 million funding round to expand its full-stack European AI cloud infrastructure. The oversubscribed Series B was led by Emergence Capital, with participation from notable investors such as Supermicro and MUFG Innovation Partners. Founded in 2020, the company manages every layer of AI infrastructure, ranging from physical data centers to its proprietary cloud platform and research initiatives. This new capital will accelerate product development, particularly focusing on compute capacity for frontier AI teams building agentic systems. Verda aims to establish Europe’s first true tech company while simultaneously reducing the global carbon footprint associated with AI compute. The firm recently reached a $165 million annualized revenue run rate and has raised over $450 million in total funding since its inception. To support this growth, Verda has opened new offices in London and San Francisco, with further expansion planned across Europe, the US, and Asia.
