Viral AI agent Instinct raises $1B Series C at a $10B valuation
techcrunch ·
AI assistant startup Instinct has secured a $1 billion Series C funding round, elevating its valuation to $10 billion. This rapid capital raise follows just one month after the company announced a previous fundraise that valued it at $2.5 billion. The investment was led by prominent firms including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital, and Coatue. Instinct’s viral growth is driven by its ability to perform complex tasks such as booking travel, paying bills, and making phone calls on behalf of users. Despite this success, the company faces privacy concerns regarding data disclosure and increasing competition from Meta’s AI assistant, Muse. While Muse integrates deeply with social platforms and dominates app store downloads, Instinct currently communicates via SMS without a dedicated mobile application. Founder Noah Shinn stated that the new funding will help expand access to their personal AI agent and further develop its capabilities.
