aiinsider ·
Treble, an Iceland-based startup specializing in acoustic simulation for voice AI, has secured $18 million in funding to expand its testing platform. This investment, part of a Series A extension led by Paladin Capital Group, brings the company's total capital raised to over $40 million. Founded in 2020 by Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, Treble provides synthetic data generation and evaluation tools for major clients such as Amazon and Logitech. The company utilizes physics-based simulations to train next-generation speech models, offering an alternative to internet-scraped audio data. Beyond software, Treble assists hardware manufacturers in virtually prototyping devices like headphones and smart glasses before physical production. Co-founder Finnur Pind highlighted future applications in wearables with selective hearing capabilities and expanded physical AI sectors including robotics and automotive technology. Francois Ruether of Paladin Capital Group emphasized the growing value of simulation infrastructure as products increasingly rely on sound understanding across various AI domains.
