Xpanner Launches One-Touch Automated Pile-Driving System for Solar, Battery Projects
aiinsider ·
Xpanner has launched the X1 Piling R6, an automated pile-driving system designed for utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The system integrates automation software with an Everstar R6 crawler base to handle travel, positioning, alignment, and hammering through a single command. This innovation reduces the typical two-person crew requirement to a single remote operator who supervises the process via a live dashboard. Utilizing high-precision satellite positioning and sensors, the machine drives piles up to 23 feet long and 15.7 feet deep without manual intervention during operation. The technology is built on Xpanner’s earlier PD10 platform, which boasts faster cycle times and deployment across numerous U.S. job sites. Project data, including pile position and depth, is tracked in real-time through the Xpanner Connect web-based management system. The solution is commercially available via a subscription model that includes the hardware, software, and on-site support services.
