YouTube is expanding its Creator Studio with new AI-driven tools designed to assist content creators in various aspects of production. A storytelling assistant now analyzes scripts and rough cuts, offering suggestions on pacing and structure while allowing users to A/B-test up to three edited versions simultaneously. The platform also introduces dynamic thumbnails that automatically display the most relevant image from a set of options to different audience segments. Gemini is being integrated as a chat-based editing assistant for Shorts and the YouTube Create app, capable of rearranging frames, trimming clips, and syncing music. Additionally, livestreamers can utilize AI-powered live translation from English to Spanish, marking an initial step toward broader language support. YouTube is also testing AI comment moderation that adapts to a channel's specific tone and expanding face detection to include voice recognition for deepfake protection. These updates align with recent reports indicating that a significant majority of young US creators already incorporate AI into their workflow.
