A new study by Searcherries found that YouTube appeared in 53.1% of Google AI Overviews for a panel of vitamin and supplement searches, making it the most frequently cited website. The research tracked 50 Google Autocomplete queries daily from August 30 to September 5, 2026, collecting 350 AI Overviews and over 5,000 citations. GoodRx ranked second at 48.3%, followed by Healthline, Cleveland Clinic, and nih.gov. YouTube was present in answers for 44 of the 50 queries and appeared in 78.6% of "vitamins for" searches. The study also revealed that most cited pages were not found in the recorded organic search results, with only a 32.4% page-level overlap and a 52.5% website-level overlap. Citation patterns varied by query, as some topics yielded consistent daily sources while others fluctuated across different websites.
