YouTube Music is introducing new AI-powered features to enhance music discovery and podcast exploration. Announced at the Made On YouTube event, the update includes 'Ask Music,' a conversational tool that allows users to describe their listening preferences in natural language rather than using traditional search terms. This feature spans over 300 million songs, enabling users to build custom queues or inquire about specific musical details like instrumentation. Additionally, YouTube Music is launching 'Your Podcast Lineup,' an AI-generated audio guide that provides weekly spoken previews of recommended shows tailored to individual listener interests. These updates aim to solve the challenge of finding time to discover new content amidst vast libraries of available media. The features align with YouTube’s broader strategy to integrate AI across its services, following previous experiments with AI hosts. Both tools will be available soon to YouTube Music and YouTube Premium subscribers globally.
